Paul M. Weiss
A Founding member of FREED & WEISS LLC, Paul M. Weiss has more than 13 years of experience representing plaintiffs in complex class action and commercial litigation. His practice focuses on consumer fraud class actions, with a particular emphasis in insurance fraud class actions.
Paul has been named lead class counsel by state and federal courts, including class action cases against UPS, Allstate Insurance Company, Kerr-McGee, USAA Insurance Company, American Express, AOL, Ashland Oil, NationsRent, Cendant Corp./Trilegiant, Travelers Insurance Company, Chase Finance, Behr Process and Nationwide Insurance Company. Paul’s case against Kerr-McGee Corp. resulted in the first opinion in Illinois that recognized a claim for “medical monitoring.”
Paul attended Indiana University for both his undergraduate and law degrees. He graduated with Distinction from the School of Business in 1989, and obtained a Juris Doctorate from the School of Law in 1993, graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. He was also a member of Law Review.
