FAQ

What is a class action?

In law, a class action is a lawsuit brought on behalf of a group of people who have a common legal problem and in which the claims and rights of the entire group are decided in just one case. At least one person in the group must act as a class representative in order to file a class action law suit. Class action law suits are well-suited to situations involving small financial losses which would not be cost-effective if people were to file individual claims. By putting many small claims together, class action law suits allow people to recover losses from large companies and make them accountable for illegal operations.
